SLEUTHS: AURORA ANOMALY: What are the faded streaks?
These images were taken on Monday the 5th four miles west of Kearney, Nebraska for the University newspaper. As a photographer, I'm curious as to what the darkened streaks are in the image. Upon first seeing the vertical shot, I assumed it was a plane contrail -- but the horizontal shot made me wonder. Do satellites orbit low enough to interfere with the aurora?

I have just seen the most intense aurora that I have ever seen (besides in pics) in my life. I am at approx 31 deg. north (southern VA), so if you are at least as far north as I am you should be able to see great aurora for the next several hours!
We are presently experiencing intense geomagnetic storming as a result of the X1-class flare on Nov 4th.

The C.I.A.'s undercover New York station was in the 47-story building at 7 World Trade Center, one of the smaller office towers destroyed in the aftermath of the collapse of the twin towers that morning. All of the agency's employees at the site were safely evacuated soon after the hijacked planes hit the twin towers, the officials said. The symbolism of the twin towers collapsing cannot be trivialized. To manifest a card symbol into the third dimension takes an ENORMOUS amount of energy-enough energy to diffuse subsequent events. An acquaintance of mine, with top classified clearance, runs a training program for special forces for the military and police professionals worldwide. On flight 93, one of their highly trained judo instructors died. He was a professional special forces warrior, yet his name is nowhere to be found on news releases. It is highly unlikely that he was there for a pleasure ride.
