Hey Kent,

Here's one of those near-miss stories with a  possible lead to suspects -

On the morning of 9-11, a woman was riding in a  gypsy cab heading downtown to the WTC. (Gypsy cabs are hacks for hire -not a typical yellow cab, but usually a town car type vehicle). At around 8:30, the driver, apparently a  middle eastern type as so many NYC cabbies are, gets a call on radio, and after a few words, pulls over abruptly and tells the woman to get out, saying, "I cannot drive you to the World Trade Center now." No other explanation, although it appears the man was warned at the last minute to avoid the WTC. Possible link to terrorist network?

Near-miss stories continue to come in. Here's my favorite so far:

A man arrives for work on the 80th-something floor of the WTC at 8:00 AM. To his surprise, he is met at the  elevator by two security guards who inform him that he has been fired. They escort him to his desk to clean out his personal effects. All the while, of course, he is  distraught over losing his job so unexpectedly. The security  guards then accompany him down the elevator to the ground floor.

The man walks out the lobby, outside, and looks up to see the first  airliner come in. He, of course, escapes with his life.

You never never know.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - In the aftermath of the tragedies at the
World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, and
the downed airliner near Pittsburgh, Pa., renowned attorney Daniel
Sheehan, Director and General Counsel and Director of the
Institute for Cooperation in Space, has publicly spoken out, calling
"space-based weapons, ballistic missile defense irrational."

"Above all we should now realize that the expenditure of hundreds
of billions of dollars on the construction of an anti-ballistic missile
system (the so-called "missile shield") is clearly not a realistic or
potentially effective response to an event of this complex nature.
We should be on guard against those who would use this incident
as an irrational source of support for such an irrational program,"
Sheehan states.

"The expenditure of hundred of billions of dollars, or any
dollars at all, on an irrational missile shield system is most
certainly not to be included in how we respond," Daniel
Sheehan concludes.

Sheehan, a Harvard Law School graduate, who is famous for an
impressive body of legal work including the Karen Silkwood case,
Pentagon Papers case, Three Mile Island, and the Iran Contra
case, states, "At a point in time like this in the lives of our human
family it is essential that everyone remain calm, that we extend our
prayers and condolences to all of the families of those killed and
injured and pray for the recovery of those who are still in danger."

Sheehan continues, "It is equally important that we refrain from
resorting to threats of physical violence against those whom we
suspect may be responsible. However, it is essential that we
respond to tragic actions of this nature by accurately and calmly
assessing all of the factors which have contributed to its
occurrence and that we craft steps to be taken to prevent incidents
of this nature in the future."

"The policies of the US government and of a number of Middle
Eastern nations and the non-rational invocations of cultural values
have led to this complex tragedy," Sheehan says.

"Only a careful and rational analysis will demonstrate the degree of
respect that we must pay to those who have died today," says
Sheehan.  "The period of mourning for our dead must be
characterized by a calm and responsible analysis of what we must
do to prevent a reoccurrence of such a tragedy and what we must
do to begin to untie the complex knots of policy which have led to
this tragedy."

Just logged on to the net ten minutes ago and my computer has been bombarded by port scans every ten seconds or less, so when I saw that you as well have been getting deluged, I thought it best to confirm something is going on with the net. When I do the reverse look-up with Arin I get alot of no name, no address, no account info available which is also rather strange, on top of actual addresses which in themselves suggest a widespread type of attack?? Going on scan number 50 in 16 minutes make that 51.

This is a true story ...

About a month ago there was a woman standing by the mall

entrance passing out flyers to all the women going in.

The woman had written the flyer herself to tell about an

experience she had, so that she might warn other women.

The previous day, this woman had finished shopping, went

out to her car and discovered that she had a flat.

She got the jack out of the trunk and began to change the flat.

A nice man dressed in business suit and carrying a briefcase

walked up to her and said, "I noticed you're changing

a flat tire. Would you like me to take care of it for you?"

The woman was grateful for his offer and accepted his help.

They chatted amiably while the man changed the flat, and then

put the flat tire and the jack in the trunk, shut it and

dusted his hands off. The woman thanked him profusely,

and as she was about to get in her car,

the man told her that he left his car around on the other

side of the mall, and asked if she would mind giving him a lift to

his car.

She was a little surprised and she asked him why his car was on

other side. He explained that he had seen an old friend in the mall

that he hadn't seen for some time and they had a bite to eat and visited

for a while; he got turned around in the mall and left through the wrong

exit, and now he was running late and his car was clear around on the

other side of the mall.

The woman hated to tell him "no" because he had just rescued her

from having to change her flat tire all by herself, but she felt

uneasy.

Then she remembered seeing the man put his briefcase in her trunk

before shutting it and before he asked her for a ride to his car. She

told him that

she'd be happy to drive him around to his car, but she just remembered

one last thing she needed to buy. She said she would only be a few

minutes; he could sit down in her car and wait for her; she would be as quick as she could be.

She hurried into the mall, and told a security guard what had

happened; the guard came out to her car with her, but the man

had left. They opened the trunk, took out his locked briefcase

and took it down to the police station. The police opened it

(ostensibly to look for ID so they could return it to the man).

What they found was rope, duct tape, and knives. When the police

checked her "flat" tire, there was nothing wrong with it;

the air had simply been let out. It was obvious what the

man's intention was, and obvious

that he had carefully thought it out in advance. The woman

was blessed to have escaped harm. How much worse it would

have been if she had children with her and had them wait in

the car while the man fixed the tire, or if she had a baby

strapped into a car seat. Or if she'd gone against her judgment

and given him a lift.

Please forward this to all the women you know. It may save a

life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle.

I was going to send this to women only; but guys, if you

love your mothers, wives, sisters,

daughters, etc., please pass it on to them, as well.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded

that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it...

Everyone with common sense understand the need for SOME restrictions on those things they choose to broadcast during a time of war. History has taught us that flapping mouths have sunk ships, yet one must always look at any restrictions of First Amendment freedoms as a dangerous portent. Why not simply ask for ALL Americans to cooperate, rather than covertly threatening them?

Recently I received this ominous note from an online source attributed to the SierraTimes editor, J.J. Johnson. He writes:

I'd sure like to see this in writing, as a U.S. policy? I'd especially like to see what safeguards are in place to ensure that our First and Fourth Amendments rights are NOT violated. After all, many things might be deemed "classified" and they'd never have to tell us what we posted that was so classified. A frightening thought, being hassled, possibly arrested and never formally charged with anything more tangible than a breach of "national security" indicted only by some number and paragraph drawn from an as yet unknown or obscure Executive Order...or such.

Yet, this is but a portent of things to come. We are now approaching that time I have looked forward to with trepidation for almost 3 decades; since having visions of this time as a very young man. Will the Laws Fall Silent?

THE SPLIT-SECOND ERROR...EXPOSING THE WTC BOMB PLOT...

I have taken a closer look at the sequence of pictures at http://drudgereport.com/flash91.htm and have made a few calculations. I need to emphasise that these calculations are rough and are intended to give a "ballpark" idea of the speed of the object in question.

First, I will list my assumptions:

-the object is much closer to the towers than to the camera

-the vertical plane in which the object travels is roughly parallel to the viewing plane

-the face of the tower facing the camera is approximately 230' wide (I could not find exact dimensions, so I made this estimate based on floorspace and the fact that the towers are not square but rectangular with the wider face to the camera)

-the object maintains a constant velocity

-the object travels in a straight line, or nearly so

-the scan speed of the camera is standard: 1/30 sec.

I measured the change of distance between the objects various positions from frame to frame and change of distance overall, making several calculations. The highest estimate for the speed of the object was about 3730 feet/sec which is about 2540 miles/hr, the lowest estimate for the speed of the object was 3040 feet/sec which is about 2070 miles/hr. This would indicate that the object was travelling at approximately Mach 3 or 3 times the speed of sound. THEREFORE, if these calculations are reasonably close, the object could NOT have been a piece of debris since the aircraft was travelling no faster than 350 miles/hour. The speed is consistant with an air to air missle.

I urge those with better computer equipment to check these calculations as well as to check the accuracy of my assumptions. I reiterate that this is only the roughest of estimates.

Kent, just thought I'd let you know that I have a close relative who produces a local news show on a station affiliated with a national news network. He was working when the first raw footage came in on the wires after the first plane hit. He said that in the very first reports he saw (before anything was censored, edited and put on national television) there was at least one report of a bomb or bombs in the lower part of the building. After that, nothing about it, and he couldn't understand why. I tried to explain it to him......

(ABCNEWS.com) — In the wake of last week's terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, one radio network is recommending its stations not play "lyrically questionable" music and has issued a list of 150 songs it says should be off the air for the time being.

Kent, this pretty much destroys the argument of the armchair critics (disinformation specialists?) claiming NO bombs were detonated in the WTC -- I recall one of the "experts" saying, "there is no significant structural damage to basement levels," or words to that effect.

New York subway at risk of major flood

Engineers are drawing up plans to prevent the flooding of New York's underground transport network, following the collapse of the World Trade Center. They fear water from the Hudson river could get into the vast seven floor basement and fill underground train tunnels all over the city.

"It could flood a lot of the underground system of New York," says Dan Hahn, of Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, who are working on the disaster site with the New York Port Authority.

The World Trade Center's twin towers were destroyed on 11 September, when hijacked passenger jets were flown into the buildings. Over 5000 people are feared dead.

The basement of the World Trade Center housed seven floors of shops and parking, with an underground PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) train station at the bottom. Two train tunnels from the station head west out of the basement, beneath the Hudson river, where they join a network of other train tunnels. Two of these head back under the Hudson and terminate at 33 rd Street in midtown Manhattan, where they link with subway stations.

The bathtub

The basement, now full of debris, was built by first cutting four channels, about one metre wide and 21 metres deep into the ground and filling them with concrete. This formed what the engineers call the "bathtub"- a concrete-walled box that reaches down to sturdy bedrock. Soil and rock inside the 65,000 square metre area was then excavated to allow the basement floors to be built.

During building, the walls of the basement were secured against the pressure of surrounding soil and water by anchoring them to the bedrock with steel "tieback" cables. When completed, the floors brace this strain and the tiebacks are cut.

With the basement floors now destroyed or damaged, engineers believe only debris from the building is preventing the basement walls from collapsing in on themselves. If this happens, soil and water from the Hudson will start pouring in.

"If the walls collapse and the bathtub fills with water, it'll go straight out of the tunnels at the bottom," says Aine Brazil, managing principal with structural engineers, Thornton-Tomasetti Group who are working alongside Hahn. "That could send water right up to 33 rd Street and into the subway," she says.

Concrete plugs

Engineers say water is already running through the tunnels under the Hudson. Exchange Place, the first PATH station west of the river, is currently under 15 centimetres of water, though this may be from broken water pipes and fire hoses.

To prevent a widespread flood, Hahn has drawn up plans to get into the PATH tunnels that connect with the World Trade Centre site from across the Hudson. Once inside, the tunnels will be filled with huge concrete plugs designed to withstand a 25 metre head of water.

Even so, excavation of the basement - which will not be possible for weeks, according to Brazil - must proceed delicately. Hahn says that for every four to six metres they excavate, they will put in new tiebacks around the walls to support them.

The precaution should also prevent more damage to surrounding buildings, says Brazil. Soil around the walls will shift if the "bathtub" collapses, which could destabilise small or older buildings nearby, she says

Agents in Miami are attempting to find 41-year-old Anjum Pervaiz Shiekh. Records show that Shiekh flew from MIA to Buenos Aires two days before the attack. FBI agents say that he is connected to items including maps of the Northeast along with other material that is described as "potential terrorist paraphernalia". ABCNews said they were able to contact Shiekh by cell phone. Shiekh said he was in Florida and told them to contact UAL for more information. United Airlines declined comment. In other news: United joined US Airways and Continental saying they would lay off 20,000 employees. One of the hijacking suspect is reported to have met with an Iraqi intelligence official somewhere in Europe earlier this year. Several hijacking suspects logged on to the Internet in Broward County libraries. A nationwide precautionary advisory is in place for biological-warfare agents. One hijacker of American Flight 77 flew three training flights from a suburban Washington flight school a month before crashing the jet into the Pentagon. FAA records show a Hani Hanjoor as receiving a commercial pilot's license in 1999 and listing a post office box in Saudi Arabia as his address. The FAA is considering a staggered reopening of Reagan National. A search of a Virgin 747 from Heathrow turned up nothing in Newfoundland after a bomb threat. The FBI is investigating whether other airplanes may have been targeted for hijacking as it seeks to question more than 190 people. American accused Argenbright Security of assigning new employees to screening checkpoints without any training, falsifying prospective employees' tests, and not conducting background checks. One screener was hired despite 23 arrests; another was arrested on kidnapping charges and convicted of drug violations stolen property and firearms possession. Delta Air Lines trained a new hire employee with 10 felony convictions for drug trafficking. In addition, Delta supervisors told employees to take felony convictions off their application if they wanted to be hired by the airline and later instructed the employees to leave the convictions off any airport, Customs, or USPO I.D. application request.

Hello I took these shots from CNN right off the tape they were running on TV. I noticed how the plane kept changing shape, how the front of the plane looked different in the air all around the plane are glowing balls of light; spheres on the buildings also after the plane enters the building waiting on the other side of the building is this object hovering in the sky . It is not a helicopter!
