Subj: Re: Chamber of Commerce re Evacuation Date: 08/14/1999 3:47:21 AM Pacific Daylight Time From: angelbooks@cybertrails.com (emanon) To: chrisw2@idt.net Thanks Christen, This is "normal" and we rec'd something like this up here in Strawberry back in April or May. The notice I was told about came from the Dept of Interior/USFS, BLM (my source was not sure about this one), and the USPS (!). This is NOT normal as there is rarely a joint agency mailing. Also, there was a detail which was strange - the directive to go to a common point where the evacuees would be met by white vans. What some of us have speculated on is the following: the recipient may be included in a select group which consists of militia members (or other troublemakers). Most of the residents up there are just normal Joes/Janes but a small contingent are folks who will give the NWO boys a lot of trouble with their fanatic resistance. I happen to agree with the attitude of most of those folks (I like what little freedom we enjoy, delusional or not) BUT - my own experience with most so-called patriots is that they are just following stronger personalitites who do not necessarily have their follower's best wishes at heart. Indeed, they often do not know what the real story is themselves. I have yet to find one who knows how to argue his/her way out of a traffic ticket in court - for all their talk of not needing licenses from the state and all that. I discussed this situation with a friend who felt that militia members are people who are freedom loving individuals. I reminded her that they're just following someone else instead of the government, that they're not really freedom loving, they just want to have their nose hooked with a less heavy ring, so to speak. They still want to be led and unfortunately there are people out there (like William Cooper) who are more than happy to do so. So when the "leader" says "I don't believe in (plug in anything here)", they tend to go along with it - whether it is to their setriment or not. Some people will stand on the tracks and deny the train is coming at them up to the last moment. When they feel the wind pushing them, they'll know otherwise. Sortof reminds me of the so-called scientists who deny that the Earth has flipped PHYSICALLY several times in the past - they maintain that the reversals of the magnetic poles is ONLY the magnetic poles and won't allow the thought that the Earth actually flips from time to time - probably because the implication is just too disturbing. Somebody brought up the question the other day about WHY the Earth flips and we discussed the similiarity to magnets. What if the Sun flipped? Would that flip the Earth like flipping one magnet flips another near it? And what would be happening to the Sun to do that? Almost unthinkable, isn't it? Just speculation . . . I doubt we'll see it but it's healthier to admit the possibility than deny it. Take care. -Dirk Christen Warwick wrote: > Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce responds. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: Fwd: IUFO: Fw: Phoenix evacuation > Date: Thu, 12 Aug 1999 03:30:44 EDT > From: Ndunlks@aol.com > To: undisclosed-recipients:; > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: Re: IUFO: Fw: Phoenix evacuation > Date: Tue, 10 Aug 1999 16:28:00 EDT > From: UFOREPORTS@aol.com > Reply-To: iufo@world.std.com > To: iufo@world.std.com > > -> IUFO Mailing List > > Recently we sent a number of email inquiries to residents of the Lakeside/ > White Mountain area to determine the validity of the evacuation notices > mentioned on IUFO.
