I think you saw my email earlier recognizing the beginning of the mayan new year 7/26…so happy new year…
the rant below is based on the following premise…
what if all the world's problems were caused not by the things which normally get blamed for them…people who embody greed, violence, hatred, fear, brutality, ignorance…what if those things themselves were symptomatic of a simpler more subtle root cause…???
something at a baser level which is the macro-organizing program of our entire species…our entire civilization…
time itself…
well, perhaps not exactly time itself, but the way humans perceive and interpret time…
the concepts of time and calendars are ones that never really get discussed because they are so ingrained into our psyches that they are taken as 'givens'…
this is an error of judgment on our part to ignore their significance…

anyway, after alot of reading and meditation on the subject, guess where I was led for the beginning of the story???
like all things these days, it begins in sumer…
it is there that man conceives the 12:60 frequency…the sumerians divided the day into 24 hours, 60 minutes, 60 seconds and divided the circle into 360 degrees…this is amazing because the mechanical clock, which embodied this concept, was not invented until the 14th century a.d....this is no small piece of information…it means that the mechanization of time and the measuring system that would define it was designed at the beginning of history…the beginning of time…even tho the actual manifestation of that system (the mechanical clock) would not be realized for another four and a half thousand years…
the 12:60 frequency (twelve months or twelve 30 degree divisions of a circle/60 minute hours) is the frequency of mechanization…and it was already implied over 5100 years ago…
everything humans have done since that meme was incubated has been based on the mechanization frequency of 12:60...this is, of course, the 'beginning of time'…periods prior to this are hence referred to as 'pre-history'...or 'before time'...
as a side note, the beginning of time can also be seen as symbolic of the leaving of the garden…the separation from nature…the fall...before this 'time', man and woman were one with nature…a part of nature…they 'walked with god' in the evenings in the garden…
but after eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge, man and woman develop for the first time, ego…and with it they bring duality into the world…good and evil…god and satan…dark and light…they 'cover their shame'…showing the first symptom of their new found separation from god and the natural world…
from this point on, man now believes he is separate and above the natural world (altho nothing actually is)…this idea that man is separate and above nature is eventually what drives man's development of technology in a generally aggressive direction…
as time progressed, mechanization would only be furthered by science…so ever since the beginnings of 'civilization' or 'city living' in sumeria (the first city of uruk) we have developed and nearly perfected sciences for every damn thing you can point to...literally everything has been analyzed, broken down, rebuilt and now even examined to sub-atomic levels...
educational degrees are available for all areas of science that continually impact every area of human endeavor...
so why don't we have a science of time???
and more importantly, why is it that we are so unscientific about the way we represent and perceive time???
the moon circles the earth 13 times a year, not 12...so why 12 months???
the gregorian calendar is an artificial representation of time...july and august are named after the caesars...september is based on the root 'sept' which means 7, but it is the 9th month...october...8 vs 10...etc, etc...
the months are of irregular measure...some have 30 days...some 31...one 28 and sometimes 29...it's like being a baker and every so often your units of measure change...a cup is no longer a cup...a cup is now a cup and a quarter...a teaspoon is now a tablespoon…
the calendar itself begins on a day that no one can clearly pinpoint...the birthday of christ...was christ born on a monday??? tuesday??? was it the year zero??? or the year 1??? was it december 25th??? then why does the year begin on january 1st???
there is no logic whatsoever behind the gregorian calendar...scientists can calculate the length of the year to any particular decimal but it means nothing because the way the gregorian represents the year, the way the year is divided, is completely illogical and has no basis in science...
like the calendar, the clock is also an artificial representation of time...
it is a 2-dimensional representation of a 4th dimensional concept...a clock is designed upon an arbitrary division of a circle into 360 parts…this combined with the irregular 12 month calendar yields the mathematical frequency of 12:60...again, this frequency is derived from the division of a circle...a two dimensional plane in space...it has nothing to do with real time or synchronicity...
contrary to common belief, time is not a line…nor is it money... we use words like spend and cost and save for both money and time…getting lost in the car cost us an hour…we spent an hour together…the shortcut will save you some time…yet time and $ are not interchangeable…and a calendar is not just for the scheduling of payments...
time is a frequency... the frequency is determined by the relationship between two or more celestial objects…it can also be called a measure of synchronicity…
a society's calendar is the device used to synchronize the culture to that frequency...the 12:60 frequency is out of sync with the rest of the natural world around us...hence, disharmony reigns...
so in a society that firmly bases itself in the sciences, why do we see this glaring omission to the scientific method with regard to the calendar…the macro-organizing methodology of the entire culture???
the beginning of the current 13 baktun long count cycle of the mayas can be traced back to the gregorian year 3113 b.c….(it also coincides within 11 years to the beginning of the indian kali yuga)...this 5125 year cycle ends in december gregorian 2012 a.d....
these dates above are respectively, the beginning and end of 'artificial time'...
anyway, it looks to me like human beings will be reverting back to the natural rhythmic calendar (whether they like it or not)…the 13:20 frequency of nature...we need to get back into harmony and synchronicity with nature…back to the garden…we can go willingly, or mother nature can pull us by the ear…
all of the years of this cold, heartless technological development can be redeemed if we begin to use this amazing technology for creative means rather than destructive...
unfortunately, if we continue as we have, mother nature will most likely open up a six-pack of whupass and obsolete that same technology...
this will be the literal manifestation of the end of time because the primary mode in which we perceive time is thru mechanized means…clocks…and they require power…electricity…circuitry…technology…
but they are simply artificial representations of time, just as the gregorian calendar is…they are man made and cannot compete with the perfection of the harmony of nature…the 13:20 frequency which synchronizes the sun, the moon, the planets, the distant cometary bodies, galaxies revolving around their own centers…which in turn revolve around other centers…wheels within wheels in a grand, complex, intelligent pattern…inward and outward to infinity…the alpha and the omega…
this is the way god tells time…and it cannot be bettered by man…
it looks like we've got less than 10 years to collectively figure that out...
in the meantime, as we approach the shift back to natural time, things may appear more and more nasty…but what seems horrific may result in wonder…the labor pangs of a woman giving birth would appear horrific to one who was not familiar with the reproductive processes of our species…there is pain and contortionism, blood and screaming, thrashing and cursing…but the result is a miracle…
this is what I believe we are about to experience on earth…in fact, i think we are now in the canal…
