Hey, Kent- I noticed something on all 
EIT images from at least 27JUL02-06AUG02. 
Look at the 8 o'clock position, just off 
the Sun's surface. I see an image that 
appears to be branched, [at least 3], and 
segmented! Does anyone else see this?!? 
Could this possibly be a fleet of

Mystery of the Eltanin Antenna  I notice you have my old friend, The Eltanin "Antenna", on the front page  again. Good to see. I find that thing, whatever it is, quite fascinating, and  I say again: I think I know what it is: A gigantic helical antenna. Now, a helical antenna is usually a very compact beasty, or in a rather impressive phased-array of a number of helicals, usually done to increase gain on both transmission or reception. Having said that, there is something that a Helical Antenna has that is intriguing: a wide beamwidth. That means that although it *is* a directional antenna design, instead of having a relatively narrow transmit or receive pattern, it has a much wider one. What does that mean? Well, let us say for discussion that it has something to do with a planetary grid, a hypothesis I don't necessarily buy into, but I do find enticing. Then again, I find myself wishing X-Files were real and that I could take a flight in a saucer, too. ;') Well, with a helical design, you might not need a lot of these antennas, just a few placed with precision, to do that voodoo that they might do. Furthermore, with a lot of forward gain, they are good for picking up distant signals.
