Well, the obvious benefits to the Rockefellers, the DuPonts and others is that they get
the lion's share of the profits from oil, military sales, monetary deals, etc., while
also constantly protecting their powerful influence over the deliberations of our
government (as well as other governments), and thus controlling the world, or a great
deal of it. They also do it to preserve these same privileges for future generations
of their families so that they will always be in charge, rather like the British nobility.
For many of the people in this crew that I have met, wealth and power and the ability
to ensure that their progeny will enjoy the same provide sufficient motivation for what
they do to run their portion of the show. And perhaps that is the answer . . . that
simple and rather mundane.
However, I have received information from several sources, one of whom I trust implicitly,
to the effect that the elites of our country, as well as those of other Western countries,
seem to believe that they have some sort of special insight into the origins of human history
and development going back beyond ancient Egypt, some sort of mystical thing that transcends
conventional religious practice. Unfortunately, the information on this from all sources
is so sketchy that it is not clear whether it is simply a notion that there was some sort
of advanced civilization predating Sumer (Atlantis, Mu, whatever), or that humanity owes
its progress to some sort of non-human intervention (ala the Mahabharata, the legend of
the Viracocha, Queztacoatl, and the Nordic sagas of a similar nature). The common element
in the stories from all sources is that the inner elites seem to feel that they have some
sort of lock on these hidden mysteries that they feel they cannot share with the rest of
us because of the effect that they would have on mass consciousness and that they would
undermine governmental and religious authority. The idea is that they are motivated not
merely by greed and power but also to preserve this esoteric knowledge that binds them
together and distinguishes them from the rest. It's hard to know whether these stories
are legitimate; however, as I noted, one of my sources had a lot high clearances and was
exposed to this weird mysticism that the higher ups in our government reportedly engage
in...
What is most striking about this [Halliburton] press release*, the new Patriot Act, and
a host of other events is that the folks in charge of the government as well as major
corporations no longer seem to feel compelled to hide what they are doing or dress it up
in the language of popular democracy. Increasingly, there is no effort to clothe the
iron fist in velvet. They are now showing us the iron, boldly and brazenly. This is an
ominous change because it indicates that they believe that they are near some sort of
endgame of their efforts such that they are no longer required to deceive the populace
because it will be irrelevant to the success of their schemes what the populace thinks.
What we are seeing, I believe, is the end of democracy in America, and, therefore,
around the world. After all, the only reason that liberal democracy is currently
ascendant is because of the US, which has led this change both by example and by
military victories. As we go, so will go the world.
I am more concerned for our country and world than I have ever been.
*A wholly-owned subsidiary of Halliburton has been given an open-ended contract by the
Administration to build concentration camps for illegal immigrants or to support other
unspecified government programs.
