On Voice of Russia on the 14/04/98 at 0828:30 UTC IPP monitored the
following.

"A mighty electromagnetic wave is attacking a Hong Kong satellite,
"Upstar One"  the source of the  wave is not known yet but a check up
on potential transgressors has ruled out  the possibility of its being
located on Chinese territory.  The check up of all the stations has
revealed no malfunctioning. The electromagnet wave has interfered with
the computers of more than 400 companies working with stock exchanges,
and more than 1,000,000 individual users of satellites Communications..
