ORBIT CD ARCHIVING PROJECT: A HUNT FOR

THE SECRETS OF EVERYTHING!

Patrons: with your self-addressed envelope I will return a copy of the ORBIT CHRONICLES, 650 megs of information dating back to 1997!

I might say that the compilation is more than rote-data. I have designed the internally linked offline disc to instruct toward the power of the IMAGINATION as well to tell the tale of our modern mythology. It is an awesome adventure! Do you like to treasure hunt? We will stalk the treasures of the Mind and Spirit.

For the moment snailmail is the only way to get you the disc. But that's okay because you will also obtain the cool insert design and the rainbow color jewel case.

VOLUNTARY contributions welcome to help ORBIT to continue.

Past ORBIT CONTRIBUTERS please do not hesitate to request a free copy. To insure the endurance of the ORBIT ARCHIVES I really want to get these archives out! I have great hopes to continue to trade in friendship and mutual effort. I am most grateful for your encouragement! At last I now have something to give back.

PAYPAL donations are now bread and butter. If the snailmail option above is unworkable email me with instructions as to how to get you the disc. Put

in subject heading so I can see it well. Disc first, Paypal later, is fine with me.

DURNED GOOD REASONS FOR ARCHIVING ORBIT

SHERLOCK BILL ON THE SLEUTH

Is your internet backbone all right today?

NEW YORK (AP) Head of Internet body recommends major restructuring. The president of the Internet's oversight body recommended a major restructuring Sunday, saying the goal of leaving the Net in private hands has proven unworkable. MORE DISMAL ICANN `We've just had the equivalent of the president of the United States abolishing Congress,'' said Karl Auerbach, who represents North American Internet users.

UPDATE: Suffice it to say that the plan envisages having 5 of 15 Board members selected directly by governments (plus an ex officio GAC member) and the rest by registrars, registries, plus a few Board-squatter-like ringers chosen by the ICANN Board or staff.

Authentication Technologies and Their Privacy Implications The legal debate is particularly interesting because protecting privacy implies compromises in another civil liberty, freedom of speech

I've removed about 80 megs of files from the ORBIT domain, mostly solar movies, to make room for new, and more will have to go soon due to server maximum limit, perhaps pruning beyond one year back. These zapped files all remain on disc. Researchers will definitely soon need this offline resource. No demand here for a specific payment, not really selling. I'll accept  requests based on all budgets: if you have the bread, send help, if not, please request the disc anyway.

Let me know if you have a cool plan to assist in additional distribution. As of now I am copying and signing each edition. I rather like this as it feels like an artist's "printmaking" process; however, a wider reach might be good.

As an artist I have long-believed that I must forge on without pause. If talented merchants want to jump in, that's cool, but it is a good idea to include the Creative. Why? The Creative skirts the edge of imagination and is culturally assigned to be the trailblazer--damn the preconceptions full speed ahead. Artists dig up new stuff.

Artists need Patrons need Artists--towards a more exciting culture.

Due to galloping senility I am having trouble keeping track of email. Snailmail requests are by far the best.  Kent the Koot
