Odd doings at Area 51. I agree with the ex-USAF guy whose comments appear at the bottom of the column that the structure at the lower right hand part of the main picture is a weapons bunker, although rather a large one for a single aircraft's use (as he speculates). The other two have me stumped, however. Any ideas?--SuperSleuth

When attempting to interpret data, it is most helpful when folks get their facts straight. These structures are in fact smack dab in the middle of the Nevada Test Site, surrounded by a-bomb craters. This site is some 18 miles WSW of Groom Lake. What ever the buildings are, they emphatically have nothing to do with secret aircraft, at least none with wings.

If you spend any time at all poking around the Nevada Test Site there is no shortage of odd structures and these are no odder than all the rest. I doubt the pyramid has anthing to do with radar, since it appears to be earthen. Radar structures like this are usually clad in some sort of EM reflective material and these appear not to be. The other underground bunker type structure sis likely just that, but based on tire tracks don't appear to be used much. There is a lot of "hot" material stored in the area and my money is on this simple prosaic solution.

I love a mystery as much as the next guy but let's not go inventing any. There are plenty of real ones out there!
