I am very much impressed with the work that Robert Morningstar has done in bringing fresh new ideas to the public regarding a Mars/Egyptian connection. His image of the Face on Mars as Horus the Falcon is stunning!

Robert has expressed a desire to have his report distributed and posted, so long as the text is not altered in any way and so long as he gets due credit for these discoveries. I spell-checked the text for him, and made some minor typographical corrections. I have given five of his figures "Figure-" names, in order to make it easier to reference them. An Index for the figures is given in the text near the end of the report. I have also reduced in size Figure-1.jpg (originally 559K) and Olympus2.jpg so that they can be transmitted more easily, can be posted on the internet as a jpeg, and/or their width will fit within the viewing portion of a browser. I cropped figures 2-5 so that the images fill the frame for easier viewing. He originally included an excellent map of Mars with labels (MarsMap1.jpg), but because the essential information is duplicated in the Olympus2.jpg, and because the original was 890K and enormous in size, I thought it would be best to omit it unless requested from either me or from Robert. Abstract

I am writing "The Martian Thesis"to present a new concept of history to humanity. I do this by writing to confirm the veracity of the theory called "The Face on Mars" and the authenticity of the work of the scientific community that views the phenomenon as a sign of extraterrestrial intelligence, previous interplanetary contact, and a geometrically encrypted message for the human race which has come to be call "The Message of Cydonia".

I further propose to demonstrate a direct relationship between The Giza Pyramid Complex in Egypt and a particular region of the planet Mars defined by the area lying between Olympus Mons, Tharsis Montes. and the western terminus of Valles Marineris near Tithonius Lacus.

"EXTRAORDINARY EVIDENCE"

The late Carl Sagan was fond of dismissing and debunking theories like the Face on Mars with the coy quip: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

FACE OFF...FACE ON

Today, the evidence is in. In the following proposal, 'The Martian Thesis, I present extraordinary evidence which fulfills Sagan's requirements to the letter for the "extraordinary", "mythological" and "extraterrestrial" claims of this writer.

This thesis is based on the work of other pioneers to whom I credit the original discovery and the development of its precepts, principles and on whose scientific foundations and insights some of "The Martian Thesis" is based. They are Vincent DiPietro, Gregory Molinaar, Mark Carlotto, Vladimir Avinsky, Erol Torun and the inimitable Richard Hoagland who has been and will always remain a personal "Dr. Zarkov" to me.

APRIL 15TH, 1998

From midnight on April 15th, 1998, and continuing through this day, I have mbarked on one of the most unusual series of discoveries in my scientific career.

1995: THE MARS MISSION EMBARKS ON A NEW ENTERPRISE

As some independent Mars may scientists already know, I have worked closely with Richard Hoagland of The Enterprise Mission (formerly The Mars Mission) since 1993 studying and evaluating sundry subjects and objects including Cydonia Mensae and what is popularly called "The Face on Mars", "The City", "The D & M Pyramid" ( or "Pentamid") and "the Cydonia Complex". I have been studying "The Martin Enigmas" since 1992.

WORKING WITH HOAGLAND AND "THE MARS MISSION"

I first met Richard Hoagland in 1993 through researcher Marc Whitford. Between 1995 and 1997, I worked with the old Mars Mission on many things, from Lunar Anomalies and Hyperdimensional Physics to working out the bugs in several Enterprise Mission computers and troubleshooting technical failures and glitches in communications.

THE RETURN OF THE DRUID

In 1995, when I returned from England, Richard Hoagland offered me a position as a general systems specialist and scientific consultant. Under his direction, I helped Hoagland's Enterprise Mission navigate and steer onto the Internet as "Web Pilot" (Richard liked referring to me as "The Helmsman", though I balked at the term).

I helped Hoagland in the construction of the Enterprise Mission website as technical consultant, communicating the construction and system design changes to Webmaster Keith Rowland who would then implemented them.

CHILDHOOD'S MYSTERIES AND CHILDHOOD'S END

When I was a child there were four mysteries of history which puzzled me. These unanswered questions vexed my understanding for they represented breaks, discontinuities in the story of man which didn't all make sense to me. These holes in history left big gaps, i.e., "missing links" in grown-up's explanations of man's story on this planet which made me suspect then (as I do now) that "grown-ups and experts don't know everything though many pretend to do so". So, at the age of 10, I pondered...

Where was the body of Alexander the Great lost and how did the myth that he was buried on Mt. Olympus, the home of the Gods, emerge with NO BODY to prove it?

Why did the "Unsinkable Titanic" have to sink (and sink so fast)?

What is a "yeti"?

THE ZEITGHEIST: COSMIC THEATRE ON MARS

No one has a greater sense of irony, serendipity or cosmic theatre than what Goethe called the "Zeitgheist", literally "The Ghost of Time" or in the language of Rudolf Steiner the "Spirit of History". History's sense of "Cosmic Theatre" (like Robert Anton Wilson's "Cosmic Trigger" ) seems more apparent now than ever to this writer, who on the night of April 15th, 1998 may have stumbled upon a Key, a distant signal and message from another planet pointing to something in our very midst which may provide answers to the "missing links" in history cited above.

A TITANIC DISCOVERY

Below is part of a map (MarsMap1.jpg) which I downloaded from the Jet Propulsion Laboratories at 2:20 a.m. on the "Night of the Titanic", April 15th, 1998, in fact, the 86th anniversary of the disaster.

THE "KING OF THE WORLD" SPEAKS

After all the media hoopla, cock and bull surrounding the Academy Awards and James Cameron's "King of the World" speech, the anniversary arrived and not a nod, peep or prayer for the victims...I thought about those lost souls in a cold and black ocean of darkness save for the light of stars. Sadly, I thought: "Very much like being in outer space without a space suit."

IN-SPIR-ATION

I must record for posterity my feeling that the spirit of those lost souls conveyed me to this series of discoveries. I might not have stayed up till 2:20 a.m. (then till 5 a.m.) had I not remembered that the Titanic had gone down during those hours 12-2:20 a.m.

I remembered having a very vivid dream in 1958 of Walter Cronkite on television announcing the discovery of the wreck of the Titanic on the bottom of the North Atlantic. This has come to pass but what is the meaning behind the sinking of an "unsinkable" concept, what is the historical "Message of the Titanic". Was there a greater reason for the disaster than just a question of "fate" or God's cruelty and wrath for the hubris an overly proud and self-deluded civilization?

Question number three has been answered in physical terms: The cold, dark ocean made high carbon content British steel more brittle, which raised its "temper" beyond tolerance. This is thought to be the simple answer in terms of physics. However, I view the physical world through metaphysical spectacles in the hope of seeing and understanding "The Big Picture".

Therefore, writing as a "metaphysician", in retrospect, I believe the real message of Titanic's disaster ("evil star") like that written on Cyndoni Mensae on Mars may simply be: "Titanic HAD TO SINK and there was no way out, because SOMETHING BIG AND UNEXPECTED came out of the darkness, deadly and unforeseen, to provide a cosmic warning, an enduring message from the Zeitgheist pointing out the transcience, frailty, and fragility of humanity in microcosm (I.M.S. Titanic/Cydonia) to the people of the future."

A MONUMENTAL MAP OF MARS

A shortime afterwards, I chanced to check my e-mail and found a note about new NASA pictures of "The Face on Mars", treated by NASA and presented to the media and the public alike as "just another rock". I logged onto the JPL Mars site looking for "The Face"but my attention was drawn, almost wrested, by an icon to access a large map of Mars.

I downloaded the map and instantly noticed a similarity in the relationship between three extinct volcanoes on Mars, the Tharsis Montes, across the 20 degree North latitude on Mars and the arrangement of the Pyramids of Giza across the 30 degree North latitude on Earth.

THE MYSTERIOUS MEANING OF "CAIRO"

Though I'd thought about it before (looking at small hand maps of Mars I'd first used to reconnoiter the planet) , I had dismissed it as simple coincidence. What relationship could there be between the two? Beside the other "coincidence" which writer Graham Hancock (author, "Fingerprints of the Gods") is fond of pointing out: "The word 'Cairo' in Arabic means 'Mars'."

THE FIRST MARS SURVEYORS

However, the full import of my observation didn't strike me until I checked a 19th century surveyor's map in Peter Tompkin's "Secrets of the Great Pyramid". History will show that Napoleon's engineers, Professors G. Piazzi Smith, Flinders Petrie and the Davisons were the first real "Mars Surveyors".

AKHENATON/MOSES: One MAN, One GOD, One LAW

For the many years I've been working on the theory previously proposed by Freud and Velikovsky (et al.), that Akhenaton and Moses were one and the same person. After many years, I had come to the conclusion that the events of Exodus are not really missing from Egyptian history as experts have claimed but rather that they are embedded or encrypted within Egyptian history but described in terminology within the context of Ancient Egypian Pharoanic history.

AKHENATON/MOSES: In The Wilderness of SIN (not yet SINAI)

Thus, I began a few years ago a search for a series of similar events veiled by their description within another cultural context as "official Egyptian history". I theorized that the events would thus appear to linear historians as vaguely similar but separate events on their line of time.. This would usually be due to temporal constraints constricting (or choking) a logical connection because the "offical time line" and "all the experts" claim that it "cannot" be. So it was in 1951 when Immanuel Velikovsky proposed the Akhenaton/Moses "One man-Dual identity Concept", as I call it, soundly basing it on the story recorded in "The Papyrus of Ipuwer" then dated as New Kingdom history, Akhenaton's epoch. Ipuwer, a scribe, desscribes plagues, rebellion, natural catastrophes, and reports that "There are loud noises in the night".

ALL THE EXPERTS...

All the experts said impossible because at that time the "Official Time Line" separated Moses (1100-1200 b.c.) and Akhenaton (1800-1900 b.c.) by at least 600 years (1800-1200=600) but despite the erudite and simple mathematics of the "all the experts" who debunked Velikovsky in 1951, TODAY WE KNOW THEY WERE ALL WRONG!

Today, Moses and Akhenaton may be separated by a mere century, the span of ONE LIFETIME or THE OVERLAP OF TWO. I mention the second possibilty to demonstrate that "The Martian Thesis" is an open system of thought which updates itself with the introduction of new, useful and verified information.

AKHENATON & RA-MOSES

For instance, now "we know" that the name of the mayor of Tel el Amarna (Akhetaton, "the resting place of Aton) in the time of Akhenaton was named "Ra-Moses". That's a useful piece of information! How do I know? Well...because "all the experts say so".

ONE RIGHT EXPERT...

Actually, it is only one expert. But one right expert is worth "all the wrong experts in the world", who, right OR wrong , by the way, HAVE NEVER AGREED UPON ANYTHING! This expert is a man whose opinion in these things is well respected: Professor Bob Brier, the man who uncovered the assassination of King Tutankamon and the first man to conduct the real and authentic mummification ritual on an actual body lately (within the last millenia or two).

Professor Brier and I don't see eye-of-Ra to eye-of-Ra on the officialt time line nor the Akhenaton/Moses, One man-Dual identity theory, but I lend him great credence when he states that the name of a mayor of Tel el Amarna was named "Ra-Moses".

I tip my Ankh to Professor Brier, whom I credit with finding a copy of the original Ten Commandmants precisely where I have predicted for many years that they might yet be found. Engraved deeply into the cliffs around Amarna, he calls them "The Laws of Living in Ma'at", I call them "The Prototypes of the Ten Commanments", we both call them "The Laws of Living in Truth".

LIVING IN MA'AT...LIVING IN EMET...LIVING IN MOSES

When one is navigating, terrestrially or intellectually , one learns to maintain certainty of course by noting significant landmarks along the route. However, if one does not see them or "can not see them", due to poor visiblity or poor eyesight or insight, then the landmark is missed. One may go on, having lost the true bearing and the true course, yet without knowing till the very end. Like a B-24 "Liberator" Bomber in World War II called "Lady be Good". This is an example of missing a landmark in terrestrial or aerial navigation.

As a pilot I have learned to note and mark significant landmarks immediately especially unique ones which ahve not been oted before. With regard to the theory being discussed, I have had to navigate intellectually looking for significant landmark in a Terra Incognita involving many fields of study, each officially tying to exclude the other from each one's sphere of influence or expertize in "science". Three examples are egyptology, archaeology, and geology at odds with each other and all odds with the Hebrew Bible's timeline of history.

In this intellectual flight of fancy, as "all the experts" might well label it, I have had to note significant intellectual and philogical landmarks that support the OMDI (One Man-Dual Identity) Theory. As above, one example of philogical support for OMDI is the recently revealed name of the amyor of Amarna, given by Professor Brier, as Ra-Moses...so below is another.

I have brought this to the attention of several Biblical scholars and rabbis and theological students at Touro College in New York City.

PHILOLOGY OF MA'AT & EMET

Interestingly, twice, quite apart and separated by seveal years, I crossed and reaffirmed another significant philological landmark, to wit: In presenting this theory, equating the Laws of Living in Ma'at with the Law of Moses, i.e., the Ten Commandments, to Rabbi Raymond Singer in 1993 and to a group of Touro College students of theology and the Hebrew language in 1997-98, both made the same observation.

In discussing the Egyptian word "Ma'at", or Truth, Rabbi Singer and Touro College Hebrew student Samuel Belinsky pointed out (with no coaching from this scribe) that the Hebrew word for "Truth" is "Emet" which is also pronounceable as "EMES", IN WHICH FORM IT BECOMES SYNONOMOUS WITH THE NAME OF "MOSES".

Hence, translating LINGUISTCALLY and PHONETICALLY, the Egyptian concept of "Living in Ma'at" into Ancient Hebrew, we arrive at the remarkably logical statement that "To be Living in Ma'at" is "To be Living in Emet" is "To be Living in "Emes" which is "To be Living in Moses" which returns "To be Living Truth" which is" Living In Ma'at". Thus, "Living by the Laws Of Ma'at/Emet/Emes, or living by the Law of Moses, must be the same as "Living by the Ten Commandments"

Ergo, "MA'AT' in Egyptian expresses and IDENTIFIES the concep that : "Ma'at" and "Moses" really mean the same thing!

WHERE TO FIND THE TABLETS OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

* Author's Note: I encourage Professor Brier and others to seek the possible remnants of The Original Tablets of The Ten Commandments (he would call them "stelae") at the northenmost and southernmost limits of "The Holy Of Holies" in Amarna where they may possibly yet reside, broken and overturned, covered by the sands of time since the "Tel el Amarna Revolution" in Ankhetaton. (More about this in Part II of "The Martian Thesis").

LATERAL THINKING AND LATERAL HISTORY

I have noticed in my lifetime (a half century) that history, especially regional history, happens laterally, not just linearly. This leads me to encourage people to "think sideways", use lateral thinking, develop a "multi-tasking brain". History happens beside you not just in front of you or behind you, history is happening next to you.

AKHENATON: BEGINNING THE TREK TO AMARNA

I had come to believe that the Biblical Exodus and Wilderness Trek corresponded in Egypt's history to the departure of Akhenaton from Thebes with his revealed "ATON, THE ONE TRUE GOD," Nefertiti, his wife, royal family, court retinue, livestock, kitty cats, and kaboodle to the place called Tel el Amarna. There he spent 18 years building "Akhetaton", the new royal capital of the One, True God of Light, Aton, physically manifesting as the Disk of the Sun.

MOSES: BEGINNING THE TREK "INTO THE WILDERNESS"

We read in Exodus that Moses took the Chosen People "out of Egypt" and trekked "into the wilderness of Sin" where they set up encampments progressively in stages. Out of Egypt in this context is the same as "Out of Africa" to get to the Promised Land, Canaan.

THE BIG QUESTION

One question which could debunk this theory instantly would be "Which way did they go?" Which way did who go? Which way did either of them or BOTH go? Why? Because if they didn't BOTH go in the SAME DIIRECTION then we cannot possibly be speaking of the same event and I would advise the reader, nay...I would order the reader to stop reading right now! But the reader won't because the reader really wants to know the Truth. If you do, my advice to you now is to read on...

WHICH WAY DID THEY GO?

For Moses to get out of Egypt he had to travel North along the Nile River then East into the Wilderness of Sin on the way to the Sinai Pensinsula eventually to get out of Africa forty years later...a long time camping.

Which way did Akhenaton and his retinue go? Where is Amarna?

When Akhenaton and his followers of the One God, Aton, left Thebes to build Aton's resting place, or Holy of Holies, obviously "The Laws of Living in Ma'at" had not yet been carved into the cliffs of Amarna? Which way to Amarna? Quo vadis, dominum? Whither goest Thou, Lord?

ON TO AMARNA...ON TO SIN

For Akhenaton to get to Amarna to build Akhetaton, he moved the capital from 25 degrees 42 minutes 51 seconds North latitude, 32 degrees 38 minutes East longitude (Thebes) to 27 degrees 45 minutes North, 30 degrees 50 minutes East ("Akhetaton").

To get then from Thebes to Amarna, Akhenaton and his retinue had to travel North along the Nile River in the direction of the Wilderness of Sin. As above, so below...The best advice Timothy Leary ever gave anyone (after Axiom Number One) was: "Always be sure your own navigation is correct!"

Measured on Advanced Very High Resolution Radiomety (AVHRR) satellite photographs, the total distance of Moses' trek through the wilderness of Sin into the Sinai Peninsula (crossing the Red Sea at at narrowest point) is just over 400 miles into |Sinai with another 150 miles to Canaan.

To cross only 550 miles in 40 years of wandering, the wilderness trek of the Chosen People was averaging about 13.75 miles of trekking per year. It was a long way to Bethlehem. As above, so below...a lot of camping. The distance measured via AVHRR photo (as above...) from Thebes to Amarna is 179 miles, rounded off to 180 in order not to strain the brains of the proponents of the metric system (what's a mile or two as long as we can divide by ten!). If you must go metric all the way, it is 289 km., (which as everyone can see is more easily divisable by ten than 179, as above...). Hence, the vaunted superiority of the metric ssystem in science.

However, any way you measure it, given the average speed per annum of the Chosen People (13.75 miles/annum it would have taken them just 13 years 6.6248 days by the English mile (179 miles divided by 13.75 miles=13.0182).

An unanswered question is: Could Ra-Moses already be mayor of Amarna or could the leader of The Chosen People have BECOME "Moses" after he arrved? The answer may be revealed by the plumping system and the waterworks at Amarna.

WATER IN THE WILDERNESS

In his discussion of the problems encountered by Akhenaton in the building of the new capital at Amarna, Peter Tompkins makes the following observations:

"The new city which was intended to replace Thebes as the capital and geodetic center of Egypt was planted in a position which seems most undersirable in terms of what we would consider the function of a capital city...It was an area of difficult access, where there had never been any known siginficant center; some scholars have doubted whether even villages had existed there. It did not provide large flat areas for a major urban development. When maintainance was suspended after the fall of Akhenaten, large sections of the new buildings were washed away by the rainwater rushing down torrentially from the surrounding cliffs. Even the climate was inferior to that of many other areas along the course the Nile...

AKHENATON HIMSELF RELATES THAT HIS COURTIERS RAISED OBJECTIONS TO THE SELECTION OF THE NEW SITE, ALTHOUGH HE STATES THAT IT WAS POINTED OUT TO HIM DIRECTLY BY HIS FATER, THE GOD ATEN." (emphsis mine)

A better description of a wilderness would be hard to find unless we read Exodus 15:22 ff::

"And Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; the waters of Marrah, for they were bitter. Therefor ehe name of it was called Marah.

And the people murmured three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink against Moses saying "What shall we drink?"

A little later, we read in Exodus 17:

"And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin,by their stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and encamped in Rephidim; and there was no water ofr the people to drink. Wherefore the people strove with Moses, and said: 'Give us water that we may drink' and Moses said unto them: 'Why strive ye with me? Wherefore do ye try the Lord?' "

In brief, I discern a distinct similarity between the encampments at Amarna and the encampments "by their stages"of Moses and the Chosen People under the command of "The Lord". The descriptions of the quandries encountered by both Akhenaton and Moses wandering within the same local geographical area are so close as to be identical. In the end, civil unrest came to Akhetaton, Akhenaton was overthrown, the Laws of Ma'at and the steles which bore them were overthrown, Amarna washed away.

In Exodus 17:3-4, Moses seems to be in the same plight as Akhenaton:

"And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmered against Moses, and said: 'Wherefore hast thou brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?' And Moses cried unto the Lord saying:'What shall I do unto these people? THEY ARE ALMOST READY TO STONE ME." (emphasis mine)

AKHENATON/MOSES: PROBLEMS OF THE GOLDEN CALF CULT

The 18 years Akhenaton spent building "the resting place of Aton" in the wilderness in Tel el Amarna (Akhetaton) resulted in a civil war, which this writer equates with the rebellion of the Golden Calf Cult related in Exodus. The "Ipuwer Papyrus" dating to the time of the New Kingdom states that "there are loud noises in the night" which clearly conveys the sense of civil unrest or disturbances in the night. Ipuwer goes on to describe many of the plagues described in Exodus. During the suppression of the Golden Calf Cult, Moses "put three thousand men to the sword".

Religious rebellion reached Amarna. The resurgence of the Theban cults, which may have included the resurgence of The Cult of The Horned Cow Goddess, Hathor, was costly. unseated Akhenaton and he disappeared without a trace,...almost without a trace.

CHANGE OF NAME, CHANGE OF STATE

Moses also had to move with "Yahweh (I AM) - The One True God", his wife, Zefera, his family, and his retinue to complete "40 years in the Wilderness". In this theory, 18 years may have been at Amarna, living under Akhenaton's name and "Laws for Living in Ma'at", i.e., "Living in Truth". Another 22 years were spent wandering the Wildernesses of Sin and Sinai, i.e., escaping from Egypt, with Moses' One God-given laws, also for " living in Truth", The Ten Commandments.

FORTY-FIVE YEARS OF PYRAMIDOLOGY

I have known and studied the Pyramids for 45 years. I first saw the Pyramids and the Sphinx in color and 3-D at age 5 through a rotating wheel 3-D binocular Viewer Master with 12 views of the complex. They made a deep impression on a young and curious mind. I'd stare at each picture for minutes, then hours on end and for days and days waiting for my parents to come home.

A NEW VIEW OF THE PYRAMIDS

So it was that when a mountain peak to the west of the Giza Complex, "Al-Wadjit", was shown for a few seconds on the Discovery Channel earlier in the year, I marked it with interest as a potentially important element in the Exodus-Amarna parallel theory which I was researching. Could this be a candidate for Mt. Horeb, the mountain of the Burning Bush? And why DO we associate Moses' mountain which burns bushes with holiness, power, a (singular) wrathful deity, breathing fire and brimstone? What does that sound like to the reader? Having spent some of my infancy playing near the shadows of three of them , I believe it was a volcanic mountain.

THE BURNING BUSH

It is quite possible that Moses was (like The Delphic Oracle) breathing fumes on a volcanic mountain when he saw God and the "Burning Bush".

As Moses later recorded in "The Book of Exodus":

"And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire and the bush was not consumed."

...AND THE CAMERAMAN WAS CONSUMED NOT

I too witnessed a similar marvel and miracle recently on a cable channel volcano special:

And I beheld a very large bush, like unto a small tree floating in a river bed of fresh lava, wherefrom I saw arise a "pillar of cloud" and "an angel of the Lord" as a flame of gaseous fire of methane and sulphur erupting from the base of the burning bush floating on yon lava. That was the marvel. The miracle was that the cameraman filming by yon lava bed and the burning bush stood witness and was likewise not consumed. Moses also had stood by the fire of The Lord and he also was not consumed (though he may have been overpowered by the vapors).

THE SECRETS OF AL-WADJIT ...

Immediately upon first seeing its conical peak, I was mystified that in my 40 years of viewing scores of film and TVdocumentaries and countless books and photos, not a single one had ever shown or noted the looming presence of "Al-Wadjit", as it was called and described as a "holy mountain which looms over the Pyramids", far in the western background, beyond the Qaatar Depression. No documentary I'd seen had ever shown the Pyramids from an eastern vantage point looking to the west with the holy mountain visible between Cheops and Chephren, or Kufu and Khafre in Egyptan. It was magnificent!

MOUNT HOREB

As I was looking for a local candidate for a "mountain with burning bushes", Mt. Horeb, or a more nearby "Mt. Sinai", I was compelled by the sight and I mentioned it to a colleague who shares some similar views, Dr. William Theaux. Dr. Theaux was likewise unaware of it's existence or relationship to the Pyramids.

THE HOME OF THE GODS: OLYMPUS MONS

When I reffered to Peter Tompkins' "Secrets" to align the Pyramids with Tharsis Montes, I saw the previously unnoticed truncated conical ("vol-conical") top of the holy mountain, Al-Wadjit, on the surveyor's map. Immediately, I saw the corresponding parallel of Al-Wadjit to Olympus Mons, an extinct 15-mile high Martian volcano, the highest mountain in the solar system, which dwarfs Mt. Everest by a factor of 3.

VULCANISM: THE SECRET OF THE PYRAMIDS

I remembered the volcanic appearance of Al-Wadjit in the few seconds of video I had seen 2 months before. The mountain looked much like a volcano! I realized the correlation was more than coincidence. It almost appears to have been landscaped, terra-formed-in-the-image of Mars (or "marsipanned", to coin a more appropriate term). Could it have served to orient spacefarers to living on a new planet or to remind the founders of Egypt's humanity, The Neteru, of their lost homeland, possibly the Red Planet Mars? Could it be that what the experts call a "red sun" between the horns of the Cow Goddess Hathor's headress is meant to represent the RED planet Mars and NOT our YELLOW Sun? Provocative questions which may all be anwerable with a simple "Yes".

WHY WERE THE PYRAMID'S SO PRECISELY SITED AT GIZA?

For millenia, generations throughout history have pondered the face of the inscrutable Sphinx. Many sages, philosphers, historians, architects and scientists awestruck by the Pyramids' perfection and their huge dimensions, have wondered how, why and wherefore were the Pyramids of Giza so perfectly shaped and so precisely situated.

Why ARE they where they ARE: the Giza plateau.

And, is it really only coinicidence that the word "Cairo" in Arabic, according to Hancock, means "Mars".

KUFU, THE GREAT PYRAMID: EMBODIMENT OF UNIVERSAL TRUTH

Moreover, what "primitive" culture could have conceived such an edifice? One so sublime as to embody in it very essence, the geometric secrets of its structure, universal truths, mathematical and geometric principles, the cornerstones of all science, without which science would be nothing: the terrestrial and cosmic values of Pi; The Phi or Golden Ratio Proportion containing the Fibonacci Series; The Squaring of the Circle; Universal Measures (the inch, the foot, the yard, e prime, the megalithic yard, and various measures of volume and mass proportionally related to the SIZE and MASS of the planet Earth.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

This discovery may also explain exactly why the Great Pyramid has appeared as an unfinished tomb to "expert egyptologists". In this light, we can view the truncation of Cheops'/Kufu's top as intentional on the part of the Great Architect. Kufu was built literally with a volcanic associations underlying the design. This appears to have been done in order to represent one of four volcanic mountains on Mars, Tharsis Montes and Olympus Mons.

Of equal importance, they point to specfic regions of the sky along the ecliptic to watch and may represent "unfinished business" on a cosmic scale.

THE MOST HIGH GOD

In this context, Olympus Mons can be seen as the original Atlas-like holy mountain, a fire and brimstone breathing, wrathful deity, i.e., "the Most High God", who in violent paroxysms may have destroyed the original life on Mars. In a series of cataclysmic eruptions (possibly triggered by huge asteroid impacts in Elysium and/or Hellas) Olympus Mons may have altered Mars' atmosphere radically as well as forcing eruptions of Tharsis Montes.

These cataclysms resulted in the cracking the Valles Marineris and ultimately destroying the Cydonia complex.

According Dr. Tom Van Flandern, Cydonia was once on the Martian equator, it now lies at 40 degress North. If so, then something awesome, quite a cosmic wallop, was necessary to pitch Cydonia so far Northward that (spherically speaking ) it would be the equivalent of moving the region surrounding the mouth of the Amazon River on Earth's equator (0 degree latitude) to New York City.(40.41 North).

THE ORION CONNECTION: A GALACTIC TIME STAMP

Robert Bauval's and Graham Hancock's elegant "Orion-Giza Thesis" notwithstanding (the brilliance of their insight remains in the "timestamp" concept used to date the inception), the Giza Complex appears now to have been landscaped to create a miniature representation of Tharsis Montes and Olympus Mons based on topographical features common to their respective surrounding regions on each planet. On Mars, the regions called Syria and Sinai would correpond geographically to Egypt and Sinai on Earth.

OLYMPIAN PANAVISION

The terrestrial model would appear accurate down to the pancake terracing of Al-Wadjit. The Holy Mountain to the west of Giza , seems to mimic the terraces ringing Olympus Mons, which is 330 miles in diameter at its base.

The summit of Al-Wadjit is 250 miles from Giza. However, despite the difference of 80 miles in diameter, the scope and illusion of a Mars-like vista is made complete by the presence immediately between Giza and Al-Wadjit of the remarkable Qattara Depression, 450 feet below sea level, the lowest point in North Africa. This amazing declination of slope and altitude coupled with the 250 mile long sweep of the ascension to the summit of Al-Wadjit is then supplemented and sublimely completed by a long ridge running North east for 55 miles where it turns to a heading of 52 degrees East of North and curves to begin a long, gradual descent of 203 miles toward the Mediterranean Sea, terminating near a plain called El Alemain!

And Moses said: "I will turn aside and see this great sight..."

EL ALEMAIN: ARYAN TITANS CLASH WITH OLYMPIANS...Olympians 1 Aryans Nil

In this context, the events which transpired at El Alemain in World War II, mytho-historically speaking, transcend to a yet higher , almost spine-chilling, order of magnitude and importance in the Cosmic Theater of Goethe's Zeitgheist, Who most certainly must have watched this battle very closely, ultimately tipping the scales of history toward Olympian rather than misconceived and miscarried Aryan ideals. The Olympian army of Mons-Gomer-y vanquished an Aryan army led by Ra-Mu-El fighting, like desert lions to the death, for the very slopes of Mount Olympus...with the King of the World asleep within the mountain awaiting liberation. Yet, no one knew till now.

Let us turn aside yet again and see another great sight...The Qattara Depression.

MORE COMMON TERRAIN/MARRAIN FEATURES

The Qattara Depression lying between Giza and Al-Wadjit bears a resemblance to and is suggestive of the vast drainage basin to be seen on Mars extending from Olympus Mons to Pavonis Mons and Arsea Mons. Seen in satellite photos even the colors of Qattara with of its multi-hued red terrain look like Mars.

THE RED PYRAMID OF SNEFERU

Ascreaus Mons would thus correspond to The Great Pyramid. Even today, the slope of Ascreaus Mons is steep, not quite that of Kufu, but it bears great resemblance to Sneferu's "Red Pyramid". Which begs the question: Did Sneferu build "The Red Pyramid" RED to associate it explicitly with Mars? It seems to point that in that direction.

ISAIAH: "AN ALTAR TO THE LORD IN THE HEART OF EGYPT"

In his classic work, "The Great Pyramid Decoded", Peter Lemesurier devotes much thought and biblical exegesis to the Messianic message encoded within the geometry and architecture of Great Pyramid. Lemesurier associates biblical passages from Isaiah with the Messianic message encoded in Kufu (the Great Pyramid) as coming from a common source pointing to a single place. In his chapter, "The Pyramid and Sacred Writings", he marks an amazing parallel with a most astute observation. Referring to the Book of Isaiah, Lemesurier noted:

"One of the book's significant passages is to be found in chapter 19, where the future Messianic advent is described in terms which might even be taken to refer TO A VISITATION FROM OUTER SPACE (emphasis mine):

'See how the Lord comes riding swiftly upon a cloud, He shall

descend upon Egypt...' And then, later in the same chapter,

there comes the following extraordinary passage:

'When that day comes there shall be an altar to the Lord in

the heart of Egypt, and a sacred pillar set up for the Lord

upon her frontier. It shall stand as a token and a reminder

to the Lord of Hosts in Egypt, so that when they appeal to

him for help against their oppressors, he may send a deliverer

to champion their cause and rescue them.' (19:16-17)"

Peter Lemesurier goes on to state: "What is EXTRAORDINARY about this passage is that it describes exactly the

site, nature and significance of the Great Pyramid of Giza." (emphasis mine)

But, alas, as Carl Sagan would have said to Isaiah:

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence!"

AN END IN ITSELF: REVERENCE TO THE MOST HIGH

Thus, It would appear that the Pyramids were placed at Giza NOT to be revered themselves but rather, for these main reasons:

1. To store and preserve the legacy of the civilization which designed it (not necessarily "the builders");

2. To enshrine Universal Truths, encapsulating for all time, a vast body of knowledge of interplanetary motion and deep space astrophysics;

3. To communicate clearly and to demonstrate to future mankind the Great Architect's vast knowledge of universal

mysteries;

4. To point mankind in a particular direction geometrically suggesting "Look in the skies for the answer";

5. To show reverence to The Great Architect of the Universe, i.e., Isaiah's "The Lord of Hosts in Egypt" when He

comes "riding swiftly on a cloud". Compare this description with the Egyptian Utterence 261 of the Pyramid

Texts (quoted by Graham Hancock in "The Fingerprints of the Gods"):

"The King is a flame moving before the wind to the end of the sky and to the end of the earth..

the King travels the air and traverses the earth...there is brough to him a way of ascent to the sky."

THE GREAT ARCHITECT(S): WHO AND WHY

I now believe the Pyramids were designed and begun by the Ancient Ones of Egypt, called "The Neteru of Zep

Tepi", God-Beings of the First Time, to commemorate their origins and to revere Olympus Mons, the Holy of Holies

of their former Martian homeland, the supreme altar and abode of "The Most High God". It may be all of the above

and all that lies below. "As above, so below" stated Hermes Trismagistus, who infused abiding devotion in the

devotees of The Great Plan on Earth. He inspired them always to work with singleness of purpose to complete

The Great Design and to hand the legacy on to future generations of Hermeticists.

THE MARTIANS REVEAL THEMSELVES: C.S. LEWIS' "PERELANDRA"

I believe that I now understand why C.S. Lewis called the supreme spiritual hierarchies of Mars "Orissas" in his

"Cosmic Trilogy" comprised of "Out of the Silent Planet", "Perilandra" and "That Hideous Strength". It would

seem that C.S. Lewis, being a "Lewis", was privy to some of the most deeply held secrets of the supreme spiritual

hierarchies of Earth which he chose to reveal at a time when the Earth stood on the brink of self-destruction to call

humanity back to its roots and away from the precipice of spiritual, psychological and physical self-destruction.

Lewis's colleague, J.R.R. Tolkien, wrote the myths of "Middle Earth" relating events of a pre-historic epoch of

mankind's emergence and rise. Man's rise from where to where? In the language of Tolkien and Lewis, it would

be the history of mankind's emergence from "Middle Earth" to "Deep Heaven" to confront the evil Eldils, who have

raised, in C.S. Lewis' own words, "a great conspiracy against the human race". "The Cosmic Trilogy" details

conspiracy of evil forces, Eldils from Deep Heaven. With the aid of their fawning, weak-willed earthling

underlings, traitors to the human race who sell their souls for "secret knowledge", The Eldils are dedicated to the

destruction of humanity.

But, don't worry, earthling, that's just science fiction,

"these are not the 'droids' you're looking for...Move along!"

THE WHYS AND WHEREFORES OF THE REMNANTS OF THE THE STONE DYKE

The geometric relationship of the southernmost or 3rd Pyramid, called Mycerinus or Menkuare, to what were called

"Remnants of The Stone Dyke" by Piazzi-Smith, the Davisons and Flinders Petrie (Pyramid specialists) appear to

point to a topographical relationship like that of Arsea Mons, southernmost of Tharsis Montes with a long

promontory ridge along a deep, trench-like chasm coinciding with the western terminus of Valles Marineris near the

region called Tithonius Lacus. The Remnant of The Stone Dyke seems intentionally to have been set to function

as a pointer both to a landmark and to a planet, Mars.

REMNANTS OF AN INTERPLANETARY POINTER

When viewed as a "pointer", the "Remnants of the Stone Dyke", explicity reveal another Olympus Mons-Giza

Complex topographical relationship! Obviously, the "Remnants of the Stone Dyke" are "pointing" both in their

direction and their function to the Nile River...and beyond...all the way to Mars! But why and how? This will be

revealed in Part II of "The Martian Thesis".

SUNSET OVER AL-WADJIT

Consider this: The sun setting over "Al-Wadjit" with the 3 Pyramids in the foreground would look much like Sol,

the "Day Star" setting over Olympus Mons with Tharsis Montes in the foreground to an observer flying over

Mars east of Tharsis Montes and looking in a Martian west direction.

REMEMBERING OSIRIS: THE OLD HOME OF THE GODS

Home sweet home...longed for and remembered (i.e., re-membered, re-assembled, as in gathering all the "members"

of the dead King(dom) Osiris, to remember him forever on Olympus Mons, the original abode of the Gods.

THE REAL "KING OF THE WORLD" BEARS WITNESS

We now return to the second missing link in history circa 1958:

Where was the body of Alexander the Great lost and how did the myth that he was buried on Mt. Olympus, the

home of the Gods, emerge with NO BODY THERE to prove it?

The answer to this riddle came recently (in 1994) when the tomb of "The King of The World",

Alexander The Great, was discovered entombed near a tiny oasis town known as Siwa, west of Cairo.

When this discovery happened it truly perplexed me. Why was the body of a "demi-god" like Alexander

The Great not returned to his homeland, Greece? And how did the legend (or myth) of Alexander,

crowned Pharoah of Egypt and recognized as a true "Son of God" by the Egyptian priesthood

which initiated him into their mysteries, come to contain the belief that he was buried on

Mt. Olympus, when the body historically did not cross the Mediterranean back to Greece?

Though sought for millenia, eventually everyone realized that Alexander's body was not to be found on the

Peloponessian slopes of Greece's Mt. Olympus. There was no body there! Now we know why.

PTOLEMY'S MISSED TURN

Alexander's body was in Siwa. But how could Ptolemy, Alexander's greatest general, miss the right turn HOME to

Greece at the Nile River by over 250 miles only to wind up with the body of "The King of The World" in

Siwa, a tiny hamlet, a little oais, so far west of Giza? Another might have entombed Alexander within Kufu!

A "SMALL BLUE PLANET" YIELDS AN ANSWER...I HAD FOUND MT. OLYMPUS

My discovery of the relationsip between Al-Wadjit and Olympus Mons on Mars began to provide a clue. When I

accessed the satellite maps of Egypt and clicked the magnifying glass over Al-Wadjit to "map mode", I found the

real answer. And it was astonishing. I had found the REAL and TRUE earthly , once mythological Mt. Olympus.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF TINY SIWA: OASIS OF THE SACRED WATERS

Siwa sits on the far western slopes of Al-Wadjit, the Egyptian Mt. Olympus, the Mveritable "home of the Gods".

When the Neteru first arrived., it may have been their first watering hole, thus becoming a sacred spring. Clearly,

Alexander The Great was buried in keeping with Ancient Egyptian tradition as "Pharoah, Demi-God King and

High Priest of Egypt". Accordingly, he was borne in secret and laid to rest, entombed in a holy place, a small

osasis, little Siwa, on the low western slopes of Al-Wadjit, mythologically a little bit like Bethlehem in reverse.

The final resting place of A "Son of God" and a real "King of the World" as opposed the birthplace of THE ONLY

"Son of God" and spiritual "King of the Universe".

THE FACE ON MARS: THE MARTIAN ENIGMA

The paradoxes which Dr. Mark Carlotto later came to call "The Martian Enigmas" made their debut via Viking

images beamed back to Earth in 1976. NASA first brought the image of "The Face" to public attention then quickly

tried to sweep the whole issue under the rug first by dissembling and then willfully witholding facts.

THE ORIGINAL VIKING PHOTOS (35A72 & 70A13)

In 1993, this writer acquired the raw Viking photos on diskette from NSSDC (National Space Science Data Center)

through researcher, Marc Whitford. Immediately, I began a series of enhancements and improvements using the

latest advances in software and hardware. In addition to studying the terrain ("marrain" is more appropriate) and

the topography of Cydonia, I conducted studies of the geometry pointed out by Richard Hoagland and Erol

Torun.

In analyzing Cydonia's architecture, I made detailed studies of the City region and the D & M Pyramid. I also

nicknamed it "The D&M Pyramid" as a "D & M Pentamid" since it has five sides plus base and true pyramids

having only four sides plus the base. Thus, strictly speaking, "pyramid" is a misnomer for what the D &M "

really is and does not fully convey the correct image of its uniqueness and its full importance.

"THE CITY" AND ITS NEW NAME: "MARSAHARA"

Below is one of the maps of Cydonia which I produced, building an extended nomenclature, some based on the

original descriptive names of elements of Cydonia and coining new terms when necessary, by giving names

to object and parts previously described but till then unnamed. Using a new vocabulary, I labled pyramidal

structures or ruins with a "P-number" to facilitate discussing them with Richard Hoagland.

GENERIC LABELS ON MARS

To the bland, generic label of "The City", I added a name to the city of triangular shadows and call it "Marsahara",

following the tradition that explorers who explore new places also get to name them even if they are on another

world. In this the reader must concur, "Marsahara" sounds much more inviting than "Queen Maudeland".

GEOMETRIC CONFIRMATION OF DR. CARLOTTO'S TECHNIQUES

Regarding the "Face on Mars" controversy, my geometric studies and proofs have re-established and confirmed

the validity and authenticity of the Face(s) on Mars. By using advanced computer graphic imaging techniques, I

was able to rotate the angle of perspective to a nearly overhead view of The Face. I was able thus to extract from

the raw (skewed angles and inverted gray-scale) data of the photo NASA had just released, not just the 2

variations of the faces originally discovered by DiPietro, Molinaar and Carlotto but four (4) Faces which are

geometrically embedded (one might say "geometrically encrypted") within the one structure now popularly called

"The Face" on the plains of the Cydonia.

RDM'S RECTIFICATION OF NASA IMAGE VALIDATES CARLOTTO'S WORK

On April 16th, 1998, I began a series of operations on the image which NASA had released earlier in the week.

These operations were of a topological nature completely in keeping with principles of perspective, the science of

optics. Digital rotation of the "Face on Mars" I employed was similar to that which Dr. Carlotto used in his own

work on the Viking images. These can be found in Richard Hoagland's "The Monuments of Mars" in Photo 27

described as "Computer synthesized three-dimensional rotation of the 'Face.' Photo courtesy of Dr. Mark J.

Carlotto, The Analytical Sciences Corporation."

RECTIFICATION NOT ENHANCEMENTS

These operations are not really "enhancements" in the usual sense of the word since the images which

I have produced involved no changes in sharpness, brightness, contrast, gamma levels or even noise

reduction. I did change the polarity back to a positive from the "FACE_INVERTED" form in which it was

packaged to the press using a geometrically skewed frame as well to camouflage the features of the "Face(s)" as

best they could in the hope of finally killing the concept. The goal of the packaging was to convince the press

and the public that it is in the words of one of NASA's expert, Dr. Cunningham, "only a rock outcrop".

UNSCRAMBLING THE GEOMETRY OF DR. CALIGARI

To produce the images of the Four Faces of Mars herein presented, I first rectified the skewed geometry in which

the image had been released then reverted the image to a true positive. There was something really strange about

the slanted black border on the left side. There was not a single vertical or horizontal reference in the entire picture,

making it difficult to understand and extract the familiar features of "The Face". By simply realigning the left

side of the Face to a vertical reference and rotating the image to a near overhead view, I was able to extract The

Four Faces of Mars whereas DiPietro, Molinaar, Carlotto and Hoagland working on the Viking data were able to

extract just two.

RECIPROCATING GEOMETRIC PROOFS OF THE REALITY OF THE FACE

It is interesting to note that the first rectified and rotated image which I produced (Figure 2, Ox.jpg, below) when

compared with Dr. Carlotto's "local contrast stretch" image depicted in Photo 39 of Hoagland's "Monuments of

Mars" results in a reciprocal cross validation of the two images. It is, most importantly, a geometric proof which

leaves no room for doubt that both the image produced by Dr. Carlotto from the raw Viking data in the mid 1980's

and the image which I have produced from the new data are true, accurate and verifiable images of EXACTLY THE

SAME PATTERNS.

ASPERSIONS, IMAGINATION, WISH FULFILLMENT AND DELUSIONS FROM NASA

One of NASA's favorite ploys in attempting to discredit independent Mars researchers and to debunk "The Face

on Mars" concept has been to cast aspersions on the actual computer work of experts like Drs. DiPietro,

Molinaar, Carlotto and Richard Hoagland as artificial or imaginary, even delusional products of the researchers

mind or just wishful thinking from hyperactive imaginations or "UFO contactees".

However, logic shows us who is true and who is delusional. If one compares the raw Viking image of The Face

visually with Carlotto's "local contrast stretch" image, one will find a unique geometric pattern clearly and

dramatically revealed. But since this is a geometric pattern which is "invisible" to the human eye in the raw Viking

image easily contested. Arguably, (with only one photo enhancement as proof) "it is not really there" because

the human eye can't see it and Dr. Carlotto with only one photo enhancement could not "prove" the reality of the

geometric pattern he had extracted using "local contrast stretch" without corroboration from another photo and

another source. He had to wait over 10 years before the public, the Congress and the President FORCED the

National Aeronautics and Space Administration to take the picture, but the geometric proof has arrived from Mars

Orbiter. Much of the credit for this must go to Richard Hoagland and The Mars Mission which he formed.

THE CARLOTTO ZIG-ZAG SEVEN GEOMETRIC PATTERN

However, with the image which I geometrically rectifide and rotated to a nearly overhead view, we can prove that

the information which Dr. Carlotto produced is true, accurate, verifiable and, most importantly:

IT REALLY WAS THERE though the human eye could not perceive it in the raw data and IT IS REALLY STILL

THERE ON MARS.

The proof is that the same geometric pattern which Dr. Carlotto elicited through "local stretch contrast" more than

10 years ago appears EXACTLY THE SAME in the image which I produced. By only rectifying and rotating the

image, A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT OPERATION, ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SET OF DATA, my

work separately and independently REPRODUCED THE IDENTICAL GEOMETRIC PATTERN, i.e., the "Zig-zag

Seven with Cross Bar".

MIRRORING HOAGLAND'S MENAGERIE

It was Richard Hoagland who conceived the idea of mirroring and realigning the right and left sides of the Viking

Face on Mars photo and enhancements. This produced two further yet more fascinating and provocative images

which Hoagland dubbed "The Lion" and "The Proto-Homonid". These NASA has typically repudiated and

reviled as described previously as artificial or imaginary, distortion, corruption of scientific data by amateurs and

even delusional products of the researchers mind or wishful thinking from hyperactive imaginations

unconsciously projected by "true believers", cultists, and fanatics.

HOAGLAND'S VISION REDEEMED

Conducting the same operations on the image which I had rectifide and rotated, the results were overwhelming

and confirm the vison and genius of Richard Hoagland when it comes to seeing what is "really" there though

veiled or hidden "in the numbers". A favorite Hoagland phrase: "Let's look at the numbers"

Words pale before these images, they speak most eloquently for themselves...let's look at the numbers!

NASA'S "TRICKS OF LIGHT AND SHADOW" SHOW FINISHED

What number of times over the last 22 years has NASA denied or attempted to debunk the Face on Mars theory?

Scores and scores of times. Not quite Sagan's "billions and billions" but bad enough! Sagan's "billions

and billions", by the way, may refer to the money wasted on NASA to have them deceive the American people for

22 years.

This work and the images herein presented prove beyond the shadow of a doubt, and beyond NASA's "tricks of

light and shadows" that the patterns on the Face revealed by Drs. DiPietro, Molinaar, Carlotto and Richard

Hoagland are real. Furthermore, that they were real more than 10 years ago as they have been REAL for over

500,000 years according to Hoagland's estimate.

NO DISTORTION, NO CORRUPTION OF DATA

The emergence of Dr. Carlotto's geometric pattern, which can be succinctly described as a "Zig-zagged number 7

with horizontal Cross Bar" forming the mouth of he Face across the bottom third" (similar to a "European 7" which

is written with a cross bar as if crossing a small letter "t") also proves that the rectification and rotation of the

image which I performed was accurate and true and, most importantly, produced little or no distortions and/or

corruption of the image. What is shown in both images is TRULY THERE IN BOTH PHOTOS (AND ON MARS).

Neither one is a distortion, corruption or alteration of "what is really there" on Cydonia Mensae. Neither are they

artificial, wild imaginings, delusions, mirages, or "tricks of light and shadow" as NASA has pretended for over 22

years.

THE TRUTH IS OUT: NASA, A COLD WAR DINOSAUR...

Truth Not Science Rules The Universe! It always has and it always will. The Face on Mars is real and verifiable.

The independent Mars scientists are right. They have seen clearly, think rationally and have perceived correctly

what is really there on Mars: a sign to all mankind. It is NASA and "all the experts" like Dr. Cunningham and Dr.

Malin who are the ones who are deluded (or dissembing) and guilty of wishful thinking. The Face on Mars will

not go away simply because NASA wishes it to do so. But NASA may have to go away if the American people

wish it NASA is in "deep denial", as well as in deep space. I now view NASA as just another "Cold War

Dinosaur" long overdue for extinction or overhaul.

HAL 9000 WARNING TO NASA:

ATTENTION NASA: Remember what happened to the HAL 9000 computer in "2001: A Space Odyssey" when it

was programmed always to tell the Truth but then reprogrammed to deny rightful access to The Truth! Forced

into double-bind thinking patterns, it first became "paranoid" and finally succumbed to psychosis torn between

knowing and telling the truth but FORCED TO WITHOLD THE TRUTH by "THE MISSION PROFILE". This is

much like the National Aeronautics and Space Adminsitration, today. I hope I won't have to call Dr. Chandra but..

THE FOUR FACES OF EZEKIEL'S CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE 3RD KIND

All four faces are related intimately to the original and oldest Gods of Egypt and the ancient world. These symbols

are explicity depcited in bas-reliefs found at Abydos and Heliopolis. There is a literal relationship with the

descriptions in Ezekiel of that prophet's experience with four celestial beings who had the faces of a Man, A Lion, a

Bull (ox), and an eagle (or hawk) upon their headdresses.

Ezekiel 1:10: "As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and they four had

the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; and they

four had also the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces."

THE LION OF JUDAH, WINGS OF EAGLES AND THE FOUR BEASTS

Passing from "The Lion of Judah" allegory and the prophecy of Israel rising skyward as if "on the wings of

eagles", is it only coincidence that these same four archetypal symbols migrate almost seamlessly into Christianity

to become the symbols of the Four Evangelists: The Man, St. Matthew, The Lion of St. Mark, The Ox of St. Luke,

and The Eagle of St. John.

From the beginning to the end of Judeo-Christianity, these four symbols thread their way, weaving and holding

both traditions together and tying them intimately to the proto-Egyptian Founders of Humanity. Yet, what is their

meaning and function?

THE HERALDRY OF AN INTERPLANETARY GOD

In fact, they seem through Western history to have always been the Heraldry of the One True God from the

founding of humanity even to the present. Consider the following excerpt from The Book of Revelations (4:6-7 &

5:10), literally The Word from The Eagle's Mouth, The Eagle being St. John the Divine, the Beloved Disciple:

"And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal;

and in the midst of the throne, were four beasts full of eyes

before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the

second beast like a calf, and the third beast had the face as a

man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle...And the four

beasts said, Amen,"

Could the above passage be describing Cydonia Mensae? The Cydonian plains around the Face have at times

reminded me of a "sea of glass", which is a good description of a desert plain which has been devastated by

cosmic or nuclear blasts, evidence for which exists on Cydonia Mensae.

MOST EXTRAORDINARY EVIDENCE

Attached are the most important pictures proving the validity of the theory of the Face on Mars as a "Martian

Sphinx", the term coined by Vladimir Avinsky, embodying in geometric symbols, what Richard Hoagland came to

call "The Message of Cydonia." The file called "Figure-3.jpg" revealed the Face of Sekmet, Goddess of War,

extracted by mirroring the right side of the Face (as we look at it) and making it symmetrical along the center line,

right between the "nostrils". The image which emerges through mirroring, "geometric decryption", is clearly that of

a Lioness showing quite a fierce demeanor, the form of Sekmet, Goddess of War and "the raging sun."

FATHER AND SON

The certainty of this writer in the identification of Osiris as the figure depicted by mirroring the left side of the Face

comes from the explicit connection with Osiris throughout history of the Hawk icon which appears upon the simple

rotation of the first image without any alteration or enhancement. Osiris and Horus the Falcon are self-evident and

as explicit as two sides of the same coin, as they have always been represented, Progenitor and Redeemer.

A TRUE "MARTIAN SPHINX" VALIDATED

This validates and confirms the work (and intuition) of Mark Carlotto, Vincent DiPietro, Gregory Molinaar, Vladimir

Avinsky, Erol Torun and Richard Hoagland, the pioneers and champions of the Face on Mars theories.

I commend them all: "You have been right all the time and all the way from the Lion(ness) to Proto-Hominid. I am

priviledged to lend my support to confirm the correctness and accuracy of your work in bringing this to the world's

attention. I am also honored to bring the image of Horus The Falcon or The Eagle, previously unrecognized, to the

fore in support of the original thesis of The Face, confirming Vladimir Avinsky's intuition of the Face on Mars as

'a Martian Sphinx'. It is all that and more. It is the cosmic cartouche of the King and the Redeemer, Osiris and

Horus, the original founder of humanity and his son, who redeemed him and saved the world from destruction by

Set and Typhon. I pray that he may do so once again and again and yet again...world without end."

Attached are the enhancements which prove authenticity of the Face(s) on Mars. Below is the whole menagerie of Four Faces of Mars contained within the single structure: The Ox, The Cat Goddess Sekmet, Osiris and Horus. I'm also including the original "Figure-1", the original NASA photo so that one can follow the geometric transformations which I performed to produce the Four Faces on Mars. The correct sequence is:
