Mild earthquake reported near Bangor, Maine.
WASHINGTON (AP) - A mild earthquake occurred Christmas Eve in
east-central Maine, the U.S. Geological Survey reported Friday night. No
injuries or damage was reported.
The earthquake, which registered at a magnitude of 2.9, was centered 25
miles west, northwest of Bangor, Maine, the agency said. It said the
tremor was felt 50 to 60 miles away.
